Templeman House, Bournemouth - lift pit independent waterproofing design review

Project case study

Templeman House

Independent waterproofing design review for the lift pit at Templeman House, Bournemouth, assessing existing Type B and supplementary Type A waterproofing against the Grade 1B requirements of BS 8102:2022.

CLW were commissioned to undertake an independent waterproofing design review for the lift pit at Templeman House, Leedam Road, Bournemouth. The residential redevelopment had been affected when the original contractor entered administration, leaving incomplete CQA records.

The review assessed the existing Type B watertight concrete and the supplementary Type A cementitious slurry waterproofing against the Grade 1B performance requirements of BS 8102:2022. Working closely with PDP Architecture and United Living, CLW identified departures from best practice and provided a clear options appraisal for the design team.
