Project case study
River Gardens, Greenwich
Waterproofing condition survey of the basement car park and associated podium slab at River Gardens, Greenwich, identifying active ingress along construction and movement joints and setting out a remedial approach.
CLW were appointed by Durkan to conduct a waterproofing condition survey of the basement car park and associated podium slab at River Gardens, Greenwich. The investigation included visual inspection of all accessible earth-retaining elements, the basement slab and the podium deck, with limited opening-up works and identification of ingress points.
Active water ingress was observed along construction and movement joints beneath multiple blocks, and at the phase junction with the adjoining Sir Francis Drake development. CLW produced a condition report setting out the categorisation of waterproofing performance, the as-built waterproofing findings and a recommended remedial approach.
