Project case study
Poland Street
High-level waterproofing condition report for a proposed hotel with a two-storey basement at Poland Street, Soho, recommending a cavity drainage system to enhance the existing strategy.
The proposed development at Poland Street is a new hotel with seven floors above ground level and a two-storey basement. CLW were appointed to conduct a high-level waterproofing condition report, including a survey of the basement and the retained substation at the site, for Roundstone.
The existing waterproofing combines waterproof reinforced concrete with an external membrane. CLW proposed that this system be enhanced with the addition of a cavity drainage system, to better support the functional needs of the finished development.
